Peter McNaughton Dunn

Here is my chess opponent, Peter Dunn, concentrating very hard. I think he won this particular game, but we are actually pretty equally matched.

Black to play and mate in one. Since he was playing with the black pieces he was very pleased about this, but I got him with f3 below.

Peter is a great fan of Francis Bacon, whom he believes was the son of Elizabeth I, and that he wrote Shakespeare's plays. Here's a Bacon quotation (1604) - I know at Chesse a Pawn before the King is ever much played upon. I wonder was he talking chess or politics?
